We're Moving!

We have big news

We are celebrating 4 years in business, and what's a better way to celebrate than to move into a new space that's all our own! We have grown from one designer working from her home to three designers working in a cozy new office. We're already working on making our new office even more beautiful, but as you know, design work takes time. So in the meantime, we wanted to share some before + after photos of the space. We have LOVED creating a beautiful space in our office now, and we can't wait to do the same thing with our new space!

Organization

Organization is key when you have so many fabric memos and tile samples! We've put a lot of love into this closet (pictured below) to make it clean and simple for when clients visit but also practical for those days we are pulling samples for new projects. Our new office will have a resource room, but we are going to miss this sweet little closet.

We love office design, especially those home offices that show off your personal style! Need some inspiration for your home office? We got you covered.

Hello!

We are SO excited about our move! Follow us on Instagram & Facebook to see behind the scenes of progress on our new space. Moving boxes isn’t our favorite thing, but the end result is always so worth it.

That's a Wrap!

O'More Show House 2016 was a success!

The historic Franklin home featured 22 spaces designed by top local designers, including Paige Williams and her fellow O'More College of Design alumni.

Paige took the front hallway from an incomplete shell to a warm and welcoming alcove by emphasizing the Craftsman style of the house and mixing Mid-Century modern wood elements with pops of color throughout. The house, which is approximately 5,600 square feet, is now up for sale.

All profits from the show house directly benefit O'More College of Design. Recently, proceeds from the Show House were used to renovate the historic berry home on campus to house the Interior Design Program.

Hi everyone,

Six months of preparation, two weeks of Showtime and countless hours later, the 2016 Show House has officially wrapped! When proposing my design for this space, I wanted it to be like walking through an art gallery: the raw wood pieces, the original painting of downtown Franklin, the funky-cool mirror made out of pencils by yours truly... I hope visitors to the house got a taste for the different levels of art in and around Nashville. Can’t wait to start my next project!

The inspiration for my design concept stems from the feeling I get when walking the streets of downtown Franklin on a warm spring day. The trees are blooming bringing life and color to unique historical homes. The old brick, wood and concrete in each structure gives me a warm feeling of being in a small town full of inspiration, so I’ve incorporated that feeling into the space.”

All About Windows

Pretty & Practical: Dressing Your Windows

Window treatments aren't something you want to buy right off the shelf, especially if you have tall ceilings, nearby neighbors or any window outside of the standard double hung setup. With hundreds of options for styles, fabrics, tie-backs, the details can be daunting. Here's what to know before dressing your windows:

Functionality is important. Like with any aspect of a room, it's essential to think about what purpose your window treatments will serve. Whether that's keeping out sunlight, increasing privacy or visually adding height to a room. It's important to think about the application before making a purchase.

They should be gorgeous too. Practicality doesn't mean frumpy. A room with a lot of windows has a lot of hard edges and points that can make a space feel sterile. Fabric softens those edges and can make a room feel warmer depending on the fabric. Patterns in varying proportions and colors add other texture and personality to a room when used correctly.

It's an investment. You don't want to do this every year. Picking the perfect panels can take a bit of time and money, so it's important to know what goals you want to accomplish before you get started. In the end, it will be worth the investment when the whole room comes together in a perfect combination of beauty and practicality.

Hi everyone,

Window treatments can seem like minor details, but they play a big role in a room’s overall design. I like to think of dressing your windows like you dress yourself. You typically dress for your body type and for the activities you’ll be doing that day. The same goes for your windows – visually appealing and efficiency make the perfect combo!
