Natural Spaces… but with PINK!

We have an amazing space that we wanted to share with you. This project was filled with such love and it really showcases the kindness of our client. We couldn't be more happy with the warmth and embrace this space has brought us and we’re happy to be sharing a little part of it with you!

Our friend, Kelly Maxwell at LittleBranch Farm, helped us with this amazing wood wall! It brings such a beautiful contrast to the ornate gold frame and helps showcase the rest of the dining room. We hear it’s been complimented many times and we can’t imagine this space without it.

The master bedroom is filled with pinks, white linens and warm greys. We followed the lead of the dining room and added another gold frame, some wood on the chandelier and made it cozy with the added texture of the pink fuzzy pillow and the chic whites.

See all the natural elements we incorporated into the space? Decorating with natural pieces can be a real scavenger hunt, but it really grounds the space and the rest of the home. We LOVE this antique piece and the layered photos!

Check out our other projects we have uploaded to our website! You’ll find natural elements in all of them!

When we design a space for you, your personality really shines through. We see it in every project and that’s why they’re so meaningful to us! We remember all the pieces that made this space come together and you’re the biggest part of that! So thank you for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to do what we love!

Hi Everyone!

This month were focusing on natural elements! We wanted to showcase some of our favorite natural products and spaces we’ve designed and can’t wait to show you more as we continue to photograph all the work we’ve done! Here are a few reasons we love to use natural elements in our design spaces, really, you can’t ever add enough!

Wools

Wool is a naturally hard-wearing product and the styles and color options are quite vast! Furniture upholsters love when we select a wool to cover a large sofa or an intricate chair, this is because it handles incredibly well, it doesn't fray or crease. Plus! it's good for the environment, its a renewable resource and biodegradable! We’re loving these wool rug samples from Nashville Rug Gallery!

Sisal

We love using sisal because its such a great and neutral texture in a space! It adds a lot of warmth and we never have to worry about it clashing with other elements, this gives us a lot of design flexibility! Typically, we use sisal in rugs and they're perfect because they are low maintenance and great for a high traffic area, like an entryway or a hallway runner!

Wood

Another natural element we love working with is wood. It fits in any space-- transitional, modern, or contemporary... the list can go on! It is incredibly durable and long-lasting and has a ton of uses! We’re showcasing this beautiful project later this month but couldn’t wait to show you a little piece of it! Check out what an awesome job that our friend, Kelly Maxwell did! He is a very talented woodworker and we LOVE working with his company, Littlebranch Farm. He has helped us design some really amazing spaces (like this wood wall) and has helped us in a lot of ways—check out his gallery by clicking the button below, they are amazing designers!

By using natural elements aren’t we just trying to bring the outdoors inside? Check out some of our design inspiration with the outdoors that we love!

We hope you’ve learned a few things about the natural elements and why we love to use them! Maybe you’ll find a new appreciation for all the beauty they create, just like we did!

Designer's Gone C R A Z Y!

Hey everyone!

We wanted to show you some of our own spaces. Because…look, you can’t expect to tell us to stay home and us not do anything? You lock us in our houses and expect us not to paint, redecorate and buy new furniture? That’s funny. Check out some of the things we got accomplished.

PAIGE

Paige created a cozy dining nook which made for the perfect work-from-home scenario. Perfect for an open floor plan, her dining room is on her second floor which is open to the living room and the kitchen. This space is a perfect place to sit and get inspired, not to mention all the views & natural light shining through the windows (the plants love it too). According to Paige this has been her favorite place to sit down and get some work done! It’s also the best place to have friends over for dinner (when we get back to that) and eat, laugh and play a few games. Oh! Don’t the plates on the blue wall make for a good Zoom meeting background? We loved it too!

BRITTANY

With Brittany spending so much time at home the outdoors became a more important space to "get away"! She wanted the space to be colorful, as it felt drab & plain before. She wanted a place to escape "after work" in her own backyard.
Even though her new space is outside, it still has all the elements of an interior space, planned for lots of conversation and privacy from the neighbors. She finished the space off with lighting & accessories (we’re designers, remember!?) Doesn’t it look like the perfect place to get away?

Heres some more inspiration for home and your living spaces. They’re getting to see a lot of us these days!

We’re back in the office and although we have certainly missed it here, we’re excited to get back to our comfy spaces too!

Back in the Office!

Logo - Teal.png

Hi Everyone!

We’ve been staying busy here at Paige Williams Interior Design! As you all know, we’ve been working remotely and having virtual meetings throughout the week to stay connected and creative! We’ve designed quite a few spaces, wrapped up a few exciting projects (we can’t wait to show you), and have now begun meeting new clients! So, we’re taking this moment to let you all know that we are back in the office and returning back to a new type of normal. We’re still taking caution for everyone’s benefit, wearing masks during our meetings with you (Kate Spade fabric ones, of course) and respecting each other's distance when we’re in client’s homes.

Is It Time to Color Yet?

Screen Shot 2020-04-08 at 12.24.47 PM.png

Hi Everyone!

We’re staying busy here! Because we are one, stuck at home and two, focusing on patterns and fabrics this month, we wanted to share something with you that was shared with us! Schumacher made some AWESOME coloring book pages and now is the best time to color! Click the button below to go to our Fabrics + Patterns Pinterest page and print out the coloring book pages! We would love to see what you come up with, so send us your designs, we would love to share them!

Also, a little history about each one, because patterns are so much more than just being pretty.

IKAT // Terence Ikat

Ikat, (pronounced ‘ee-KAHT’) is a Malaysian word meaning “to tie” or “to bind”. They are made by dying the threads before the fabric is woven. The threads (usually cotton or linen) are tied tightly together and dipped into dye. This process makes fabrics look a bit hazy or uneven.

Midcentury // BLOMMEN

This fabric is simple, clean, and minimal. It is a mid-century print largely inspired by the Scandinavian movement through the 1950’s. Although this period of design was heavy on wood and natural pallets, it was also known for it’s pops of color. If you like this type of design style check out: Josef Frank, Jens Risom, and Arne Jacobsen—to name a few.

MYTHOLOGICAL // GIOVE

Schumacher has a line of hand-drawn work by firm Charlap Hyman & Herro. It’s collection ranges from snakes and stars to clouds pierced with Cupid’s arrows. Dreamy in tone and story, it goes to show how inspired we can all be by the fairytales and stories we know so well.

Japanese Motif // Lotus Garden

This pattern dates back to the 1920’s—during the Art Deco period. These patterns are known for being ornate, lavish and intricate. Japan’s take on Art Deco was very much inspired by their Shang-Dynasty period. Which references familiar birds, oriental flowers and plants, and animal motifs. It is classic, without being traditional.
